Leif Vollebekk announces his Revelation Australian tour. He will play four headline shows across both coasts as his sweeping guitar tones and arresting vocals journey across the country. This tour comes off the back of his critically acclaimed alternative masterpiece Revelation which was released late last year. A project which settled Leif into the realm of lasting indie-folk influence.
The tour kicks off at The Rechabite in Perth on Tuesday 6 May, before hitting Sydney where he will play the Metro Theatre on Thursday 8 May. Leif will then venture up the coast to Brisbane for a stop at Crowbar on Saturday 10 May, and playing a final show in Melbourne at The Croxton Bandroom in Thornbury on Sunday 11 May.
Revelation is both ethereal and grounded, evoking a deep sense of introspection. Recorded at both Sunset Sound in Los Angeles and Dreamland in Woodstock, New York, Vollebekk – who self-produced and played seven instruments on the album – compiled an impressive supporting cast including legendary drummer Jim Keltner, notable steel guitarist Cindy Cashdollar, revered bassist Shahzad Ismaily, plus artists Angie McMahon and Anaïs Mitchell on background vocals.
