Following the release of last year’s album 3, Ngaiire returns with a new single ‘Fuchsia’. A continuation of the art project/experiment that Ngaiire has described as ‘a very expensive therapy session’. ‘Fuchsia’, with it’s subversive beats & Ngaiire’s signature vocals, is an exploration of all that is queer & taboo in post-colonial Papua New Guinea. Ngaiire shares, “Fuchsia is about wanting autonomy on your choices, who you love, your body and the politics on acting on what society says is not allowed. It’s about rebellion and that anyone can be a rebel if it’s taking a stand against any mass ideology which in turn could just be a truth not considered. A revolution even.”
Ngaiire’s rescheduled Australian & New Zealand album tour will now kick off on August 26, the ten-date tour will see Ngaiire bring her renowned live show to audiences in Sydney, Byron Bay, Canberra, Melbourne, Castlemaine, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Auckland and Wellington.
