The disco-tinged track is the B Side to Ex-Olympian’s Voices In My Head / Lilac Youth 7″ vinyl out now thanks to a partnership between Northside Records & Dot Dash / Remote Control Records.
‘Lilac Youth’ is a meditation on the dangers of losing yourself in nostalgia and ego, and of misremembering past glories, instead of focusing on what’s in front of you. The song (co-written and sung by former Saskwatch bandmate Nkechi Anele) is a nice soulful moment, where past and present align together.
