Not To Disappear, the studio album by Daughter turns 10 this year. To celebrate reaching the milestone, the trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella share a brand new song, ‘Not Enough’.

Originally written and demo’ed during sessions for Not To Disappear, ‘Not Enough’ was recorded at London’s Total Refreshment studio in November 2025. The track was produced by Igor Haefeli and mixed by Nicolas Vernhes.

‘”Not Enough’ didn’t find its place on Not To Disappear but we always loved it – we even played it live a few times before it went back to being a demo buried on a hard-drive. To mark the album’s 10th anniversary, we wanted to revisit some of the unfinished threads from that era. In November 2025 we finally all found ourselves in London again and recorded ’Not Enough’ in the studio together. We live in different places now, and some of our recent work has happened remotely, so this felt like old times.”

Produced by Haefeli and with Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, War On Drugs) Not To Disappear was recorded during the summer of 2015 at Vernhes’ Rare Book Room studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Released in January 2016, it debuted in the Top 20 of the UK album chart with Daughter headlining shows in South and North America, Australia, Asia. The trio ended a triumphant year performing to a sold-out crowd at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

Formed in 2010 in London, Daughter first rose to prominence with their self-released EPs His Young Heart and The Wild Youth. After signing to 4AD, two Top 20-charting albums If You Leave (2013) and Not to Disappear (2016) followed. A year later, the trio released Music From Before the Storm, the original score for the Life Is Strange: Before The Storm video game which earned them their first ever Ivor Novello nomination. Tonra’s solo venture, Ex:Re, appeared in 2018 with a self-titled album recorded in 4AD’s London basement studio. Moving away from their initial London base – Aguilella relocated to Portland, Oregon, Haefeli to Bristol, England – Daughter returned in 2023 with Stereo Mind Game.
