Our friends over at video game label Boss Battle Records have released a video game soundtrack for Necrobarista.
Necrobarista is a cinematic visual novel set in a magical Melbourne cafe where the dead are granted one last night to mingle with the living.
Inspired equally by film and anime, Necrobarista is a unique take on the visual novel medium. Follow a dynamic and diverse cast of characters as they navigate Melbourne’s hipstery coffee culture, the questionable ethics of necromancy, and the process of letting go. The game was developed by Melbourne-based indie game developmer Route 59 and published by Coconut Island Games (ROW) and PLAYISM (Japan).
The soundtrack was composed by award-winning and BAFTA nominated Australian composer Kevin Penkin (Florence, Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero) and produced Vancouver’s Jeremy Lim with licences from Soft Science. The game is available for purchase on Apple Arcade, Steam and GOG.
