Cults have released their new album Offering, an exciting collection of songs exploding with heart, confidence, shimmering melody and buzzing life. At the same time, it goes places Cults haven’t gone before.
Offering marks the band’s first LP since the 2013 album Static. It also marks the beginning of a more collaborative phase for Cults. The duo have always traded ideas, but for the first time they sat down to jam out ideas together in a room.
Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion enlisted longtime engineer Shane Stoneback to help guide the sessions, letting the material develop naturally. Offering also reflects a new confidence in the studio which resulted in the strong, full sound found throughout the album.
