Out Now: Mechatok – Wide Awake

The Mechatok movement is upon us. The Munich-born producer, songwriter, and kaleidoscopic artist releases his hotly anticipated debut album, Wide Awake, via Young Recordings. A precise and emotionally intuitive body of work, Wide Awake explores identity, authenticity, and expression in an era shaped by algorithms and digital overstimulation. Featuring a carefully curated global cast of contributors including Bladee, Ecco2k, Isabella Lovestory, f5ve, and Tohji, Wide Awake is a future-facing record that positions Mechatok not just as a sought-after collaborator but as a solo artist in full command of his voice.

To celebrate the release, Mechatok shares the vibrant new music video for ‘She’s A Director,’ co-starring Isabella Lovestory, who also co-directed the visual and collaborated on the track. Playing on the song’s theme, Lovestory steps into the role of director both on and off screen. Featuring a cameo from Brixton producer Kamixlo, the video brims with the same bold, charismatic energy that drives the track.
