On the back of the release of his first new solo single in six years, Richard Cuthbert unveils the video clip for ‘Milky Way‘. The song comes from his forthcoming new album Daydreaming, due out on November 5th via Broken Stone Records / Remote Control Records.
The video clip for ‘Milky Way’ was directed by Ben Romalis, who also plays with Richard in The Green Mohair Suits, and features stellar mirrorball technician performances from Joe Driver and Lou Peake. The song showcases his sparkling melodic style. Like Johnny Marr (The Smiths), The La’s and other guitar pop auteurs before him, Richard hits that sweet spot between effervescent indie rock and wistful, poetic lyrics as he draws on the galaxy above to convey a tender moment of human connectivity.
