The xx ‘I See You’ Debuts at #1 ARIA Album Chart

I See You, the long awaited third album from The xx, has debuted at the top of the ARIA Album Chart in its first week. This is the first #1 album in Australia for the band. I See You also topped album charts around the world including United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Ireland and Belgium. The album is out now via Young / Remote Control Records.

I See You marks a new era for the London trio of Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith, both sonically and in terms of process. The album was recorded between March 2014 and August 2016 inNew York, Marfa, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London, and produced by Jamie Smith and Rodaidh McDonald.

To celebrate the release of I See You, The xx appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. They preformed ‘Say Something Loving’ and ‘Lips’. Both videos below.

I See You is the follow up to The xx’s two previous albums – xx and Coexist – which have sold over 3 million copies between them, winning a host of accolades along the way. Watch the video for debut single ‘On Hold,’ recorded in Marfa and directed by Alasdair McLellan below.
