Thom Yorke shares ‘5.17’, written for Peaky Blinders

Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has released ‘5.17’ – via XL Recordings / Remote Control Records – a single sitting in stark contrast to his recent outings as frontman for rock three-piece The Smile. ‘5.17’ was written to feature in the final series of much-loved BBC drama Peaky Blinders.

Yorke’s latest solo work is melancholy and stripped bare, a mixture of delicate piano, feathery strings and ethereal vocal, reminiscent of his GRAMMY-nominated film soundtrack to 2018’s remake of Suspiria.
