The xx have released a video for ‘Say Something Loving’, taken from The xx’s hugely acclaimed third album I See You, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart upon release in January. Filmed in the band’s hometown of London, the video was directed by renowned photographer and filmmaker Alasdair McLellan who also directed the video for previous single ‘On Hold’. Watch it below!
Speaking about the video, The xx stated “We wanted to celebrate our home town and revisit some of the places that reminds us of our friendship when we were growing up. We’re so happy to be back home and so excited to begin our Night + Day residency in Brixton this week!”
The xx launch their Night + Day Brixton festival which runs for eight days (8th -15th March) and features a remarkable programme of events across multiple areas of the arts. In addition to The xx’s record-breaking run of seven sold out shows at London’s legendary 5,000 capacity O2 Academy Brixton, Night + Day Brixton will feature a series of creative collaborations with musicians, producers, DJs, local partners and charities that The xx are passionate about.
