Tune-Yards release a new song, ‘Heart Attack’ ahead of their forthcoming album I can feel you creep into my private life, out Friday 19th January. Watch the accompanying clip below!
On the heart-rending bridge, bandleader Merrill Garbus pleads, “I’m only human,” as her voice dissolves into the digital, endlessly danceable abyss. The video is directed by Mimi Cave, choreographed by Megan Lawson and features improvisation by the cast of dancers.
I can feel you creep into my private life is the fourth studio album from Tune-Yards, now a fully collaborative effort between Garbus and Nate Brenner who co-wrote and co-produced the album. Tune-Yards worked with a mixer Mikaelin “Blue” Bluespruce. Much of the album was recorded at John Vanderslice’s new studio, Tiny Telephone Oakland, in Oakland, CA and mastered in Harlem, NY by Dave Kutch.
