In celebration of Record Store Day 2026, the following special releases will be available in limited quantities exclusively in-stores on vinyl this Saturday, April 18.
Adrianne Lenker – Live at Revolution Hall
In early 2025, Big Thief songwriter Adrianne Lenker shared a 120-minute, 43-track intimate live album, Live at Revolution Hall, an immersive sonic documentary compiled across three days of performances. This 3xLP is pressed on standard black vinyl for the very first time, exclusive to Record Store Day 2026. Amid collaged soundbites of enthused applause and audience chatter, producer Andrew Sarlo takes listeners stage-side, where Lenker and her band embark on a setlist of deep-cuts, fan favourites, and unreleased gems, delivered via twinkling keys, chill inducing cello passages, and Lenker’s emotionally stirring vocal delivery. Says Lenker of the release, “Here is a little lighting in a jar, a capture of the spirit of all shows I’ve ever played and ever will play. The music is alive, and the magic of recording is letting us get close to that spark at anytime, anywhere, and if we want to – over and over again”.
Mark Lanegan – Bubblegum (Original Draft)
This limited-edition release of Mark Lanegan’s album Bubblegum marks the first time that his original plan for the record is being presented. During the sessions, Mark and his stellar cast of collaborators (PJ Harvey, Joshua Homme, Greg Dulli, & Duff McKagan etc) recorded enough material for two albums, but things changed and the album’s final track listing ended up being much different. This edition presents his original plan for the album. Pressed on white vinyl, this 2xLP has been beautifully mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road. Profits from the record will be donated to the newly created Mark Lanegan Foundation.
Pavement – Perfect Sound Forever
The first repress ever of the 1991 Pavement cult classic EP, Perfect Sound Forever, available on a white vinyl 35th anniversary edition 10” for Record Store Day 2026. Featuring seven essential early tracks from Stockton CA’s finest, including ‘Heckler Spray’ and ‘Debris Slide’, still performed 35 years after their original release.
The Charlatans – Then
Released as a special edition 12” picture disc. Originally released in 1990, ‘Then’ was the band’s third single and a key moment in the early story of The Charlatans, following breakthrough releases on Beggars Banquet imprint Situation Two. A shimmering, groove-led track driven by bubbling bass, hypnotic rhythms and Tim Burgess’s unmistakable vocal, ‘Then’ further cemented the band’s place at the forefront of the UK indie music scene. The audio for this release has been remastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road. The picture disc also features fan favourite ‘Taurus Moaner’, alongside ‘Taurus Moaner (Instrumental)’ and ‘Then (Alternate Take)’, offering a deeper look at the band’s creative evolution during this formative period. This release marks the third and final instalment in Beggars Banquet’s Record Store Day picture disc series celebrating The Charlatans’ early singles, following ‘Indian Rope’ (RSD 2024) and ‘The Only One I Know’ (RSD 2025). Together, the series captures the band’s rapid rise and the sound of a moment that defined a generation of British indie music.
Xmal Deutschland – The Complete Peel Sessions
German goth pioneers Xmal Deutschland – revered among British audiences in the early Eighties for their ominous and transfixing presentation of danceable darkwave, sung mostly in the German language – performed live for beloved DJ John Peel’s BBC Radio 1 program four times over the span of 1982 to 1985. Emerging from Hamburg’s art-punk underground and often associated with the Neue Deutsche Welle scene, the band quickly found a devoted UK following when they signed to 4AD and extensively toured alongside label mates Cocteau Twins, Clan of Xymox, and Dead Can Dance. Now, for the first time, their complete Peel Sessions recordings are collected in one place – available exclusively for Record Store Day as a 2xLP Silver Vinyl set. The 16-song anthology, newly remastered at Abbey Road Studios (2026), includes fan favourites ‘Incubus Succubus’, ‘Mondlicht’, ‘Geheimnis’ and ‘Qual’. This release features new artwork by Timothy O’Donnel and band photography by Jörg Bohm.
