Two Shell announce their second album Infinite Now, released October 16th as a ten track album on vinyl, CD and digital, alongside an expanding world of infinite new music promised all summer long.
Infinite Now is the culmination of a feeling that began with ‘The Nightmare’ earlier this year, a release that leant into positive escapism as a response to the dark and confusing times we’re living in. This album is about existing in the moment, letting go and turning up the music. Conceived as a sprawling and epic wall of pop, the world of Infinite Now will continue to expand…
Across Infinite Now, each song presents itself like a hit from a different universe. Songs feel instantly familiar, or seem to arrive from a future that has already happened. Made with the latest technology, voices dissolve into synthesisers and underground sounds become recontextualised with pop sensibilities.
Human and machine blur, past and future fall away, leaving only the infinite now. Instead of asking listeners to understand or decode, Infinite Now asks them to feel it.
Today, they share forthcoming single ‘Thing About You’ alongside an album trailer introducing the Infinite Now universe, a collaboration with outsider surrealist visual master Weirdcore (Aphex Twin, M.I.A, Radiohead & more).
The track first appeared in Two Shell’s set at Dekmantel last summer before evolving into its final form. Built from smooth 2-step drums and a vocal that feels as though it has always existed, the track lands somewhere between UK radio, Ibiza classic and a song remembered from another life.
+ infinitely more coming sooner than you might think.
