Arca unveils the official video for ‘Fxck’, one of the standout tracks from her acclaimed new album XXXXX, out now digitally and vinyl arriving 13th November. Alongside today’s video, Arca also announces a run of Latin American dates this Fall, with headline performances confirmed for Mexico City, São Paulo, and Santiago, amongst a handful of festival appearances.

Directed by longtime collaborator Daniel Sannwald, the video for ‘Fxck’ reimagines the acclaimed XXXXX:Diva.Experimental livestream transmission as a singular visual statement. Assembled from footage captured during the two-hour performance staged inside an abandoned factory in Barcelona, the video assembles a collage of the livestream’s defining images and performances, transforming the two-hour transmission into a concentrated audiovisual journey at the core of XXXXX.

Released last month, XXXXX marked Arca’s first full-length album in five years, arriving after the twice-GRAMMY-nominated KiCk i and subsequent KICK pentalogy. The album was introduced through XXXXX:Diva.Experimental, a two-hour livestream performance directed by Daniel Sannwald with lighting design by Matiere Noire, broadcast globally via Twitch and YouTube. Conceived as a hybrid of visual art installation, concert film, and durational performance, the transmission saw Arca perform XXXXX in its entirety across a series of striking environments that blurred the boundaries between livestream, performance art, and posthuman spectacle. In the days leading up to the album’s release, the Diva.Experimental transmission continued to unfold through 12 music videos drawn from the livestream, each arriving daily as another fragment of XXXXX revealed itself.

For Arca, rebirth has never been a metaphor, but a practice. Following her first-ever painting exhibition at London’s ICA earlier this year, XXXXX arrives as the latest transmission from a continuously evolving creative process. Over the past year, she has unveiled the double-sided single ‘Puta’ / ‘Sola,’ remixed tracks for Addison Rae, Robyn, and Hikaru Utada, collaborated with Tokischa on ‘Chama’, and contributed production to Madonna’s CONFESSIONS II. She also appeared at major international fashion weeks and composed the original score for Stillz’s film Barrio Triste.
