Giggs and XL Recordings are proud to announce the 15th anniversary reissue of Let Em Ave It, the British rap icon’s seminal second album, which will be available on vinyl for the very first time. Originally released on 21st June 2010, Let Em Ave It marked Giggs’ bold introduction to a wider audience and laid the foundation for one of UK rap’s most uncompromising and influential careers.
Emerging from South London’s streets with a distinct voice and raw authenticity, Giggs brought a new sound and spirit to UK music. With his deep, unmistakable flow and fearless lyricism, Let Em Ave It stood as a defiant statement: gritty, unfiltered, and unapologetically true to its roots. Featuring standout tracks like ‘Look What the Cat Dragged In’, ‘Hustle On’ and ‘Matic’, the album was hailed as a turning point for British rap. The record’s critical acclaim helped open doors for a new generation of British MCs, cementing Giggs’ role as a pioneer of the UK scene.
In the years since Let Em Ave It, Giggs has become one of British music’s most revered and influential voices. His subsequent albums—including When Will It Stop (2013), Landlord (2016), Wamp 2 Dem (2017), Big Bad… (2019), Now Or Never (2020), Zero Tolerance (2023), and this year’s Ard Bodied—have topped charts, received MOBO Awards, and featured collaborations with global artists such as Drake, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, and Popcaan.
Now, to mark 15 years since its release, Let Em Ave It returns as a deluxe vinyl edition. Featuring the original iconic illustrated cover art, the double vinyl release includes a bonus disc of classic Giggs anthems from the time including collaborations with B.o.B (‘Don’t Go There’), Mike Skinner (‘Slow Songs’), Shola Ama (‘Blow Em Away’) and the era-defining ‘Talkin The Hardest’. The vinyl release is available to pre-order and will be released on 26th September.
