Earlier this year, Melbourne-born pop artist Banoffee released her debut album, Look At Us Now Dad via Dot Dash. Banoffee is now sharing an EP featuring remixes of key tracks from the album by PC Music trio Planet 1999, hyperpop producer and Charli XCX associate Umru, Australian dance producer and DJ Nina Las Vegas, and newly minted LA duo DAGR.
Banoffee says of the EP: “These remixes are important to me because, really, they’re all versions of my work done by people who inspired the work in the first place. Each song on the album had multiple directions it could go in, but I just had to pick one and commit to it. I’ve always felt really inhibited by the finality of albums, and how you have to choose what a song’s identity is and stick with it. These reworks give my songs their ‘sliding door’ moment. I’m so proud to work with these producers, and I love that my album gets a second life through these reworks.”
