Broken Stone Records are pleased to announce Sydney three-piece Imperial Broads have joined their roster and today release their single ‘Unromantic‘. With lyrics that will set you straight on modern romance, the harmony-laden, surf-rock
Band member Eve Lande says of the single “This is a cheeky clear-eyed take on a love song. Let’s be honest about the aspects of a long term partnership that are necessity and fantasies about something/someone “other”. Or, at least, let’s present it that way and keep the good stuff private. A surf guitar break-down doesn’t hurt either!”
‘Unromantic’ is the first offering from Imperial Broads’ upcoming sophomore album, masterfully produced by Liam Judson, and is expressive of the varied range of sonic influences and personal experiences found on the album. The band will be launching ‘Unromantic’ with a show on Saturday 27th March at the Petersham Bowling Club supported by instrumental surf rockers The Good Boys. Tickets are on sale now here.
