Ribeiro is undoubtedly one of this country’s most gifted and enigmatic songwriters, a master of genre, nonchalance, double-entendre, intuition and melody – all of which is present on her new track ‘Wildflowers’ – out now via Barely Dressed Records.
On ‘Wildflowers’ Jess Ribeiro has teamed up again with legendary producer and multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) to deliver a stunning song. Soulful and poignant in its message, ‘Wildflowers’ was originally written for the new ABC TV show The Unmissables which follows the family and friends of three long-term missing Australians and pairs them with an artist to help share their story and facilitate a work of public portraiture.
