Blue Mountains NSW artist Lewis Goldmark reveals ‘Psycho City‘ (premiered by Backseat Mafia and Waste The Alphabet), the first single from his forthcoming debut album due early in 2022 via Broken Stone Records / Remote Control Records.
As Lewis Goldmark, Liam Judson takes on a new outlook and direction musically that still pays homage to the core influences that has informed his music over the years such as Velvet Underground, Beach Boys and David Bowie. Now, however it all comes together with a syringe injection of pop chaos – echoes of 80’s Australian indie, dreamy 70’s Californian rock, and 90’s Britpop amongst other sounds.
‘Psycho City’, the first taste of the forthcoming album, follows last year’s standalone debut single ‘Twilighting‘. Whereas ‘Twilighting’ dealt with dreaming without consequence, ‘Psycho City’ deals with the reality of a particularly nasty summer some years ago where Sydney became a temporarily hellish dystopia, for Liam at least.
