Helen’s plaintive and private vocal delivery – accentuating Mick Turner’s guitaristic accents and nuances – draws focus into the unique cocktail of feels that is their music. Mick’s amblings have a leaning, and Helen directs it a la their own ‘Sweet Spot’, speaking words that melt into coos, breaking down some of love’s mysteries while keeping others captured beautifully in amber.
