After enrapturing audiences on their just-finished single tour, lyrical masterminds Obscura Hail share one more lament before the release of their upcoming album Playing Dead out March 1st via Dot Dash / Remote Control Records. ‘Foreign Substances’ is accompanied by the announcement of album launch dates across the east coast next month.
Sonically upbeat, ‘Foreign Substances’ deals in the highs and lows of modern life showcasing the band’s ability of masking mature content with a playful delivery. Bobbing on a bed of acoustic guitar and the tick of a Grandfather clock, frontman Sean Conran details his personal account of a friend’s spiral from a decade ago, reimagined with a bit more maturity and optimism.
