British producer and songwriter SOHN returns after a four-year absence with an emotive new single ‘Figureskating, Neusiedlersee’. Inspired by the Tom Waits song ‘Alice’ and named for a lake in Austria, ‘Figureskating…’ is a wistful look back at past relationships and the pressure to sustain the intensity of early romance. “The metaphor of skating a love’s name, etching it into the ice, really struck me – the danger of falling through increasing with each repetition. I love the imagery of that.” SOHN explains.
To coincide with the release of ‘Figureskating, Neusiedlersee’, SOHN has announced details of his first UK and European tour since 2018. SOHN and band will tour Europe throughout September whilst his UK headline dates will take place in November.
Having previously lived for extended periods in Vienna and Los Angeles, London-born SOHN currently resides in the pine forests of Catalunya, Spain, and has been working on his long-awaited third album.
