‘Everyone Is Lying To You For Money’ is the second single from The Smith Street Band’s forthcoming sixth album. It is a short, loud, angry song about misinformation. This is The Smithies at their most creative yet, blending their finely honed pub rock sound with samples and robot voices all wrapped around lead singer Wil Wagner’s frustrated and vulnerable lyrics.
The chaotic film clip accompanying the new single was animated and directed by Raymond Tuifao Lalotoa and filmed by Ian Laidlaw.
