NYC’s Parquet Courts will perform two Laneway Festival sideshows this summer. Catch Parquet Courts perform in Melbourne on Thursday 31 January at The Croxton and in Sydney on Wednesday 6 Feburary at The Factory Theatre.
Supporting the band in Melbourne and Sydney will be Brisbane outfit The Goon Sax who recently released their new album We’re Not Talking. Melbourne’s Primo! will also join both bands at The Croxton. Full tour details and ticket links below.
This will be Parquet Courts’ first visit to Australia off the back of their 2018 album Wide Awake!. The record is a groundbreaking work for the band, an album about independence and individuality but also about collectivity and communitarianism.
Last month, the band released their Wide Awake remixes EP featuring two remixes by Mikey Young – ‘Wide Awake (Club Mix)’ and ‘Normalization (Collective Witnessing Mix)’ and a ‘Wide Awake edit’ by NYC’s Danny Krivit.
