Following the release of their acclaimed debut EP Tranquilize in July and their standout performance for triple j’s Like A Version in August, today, Melbourne three-piece Telenova share their Tranquilize Remixes EP via Pointer Recordings / Remote Control Records. Preceded by the release of LA-producer Meija‘s remix, the EP also features contributions from UNO Stereo, Joe Smallwood & Tim Zen.
Of the remix EP, frontwoman Angeline Armstrong shares, “We wanted to see what happened when you put our first ever written song, ‘Tranquilize’, through the sonic prism of artist/producers from broader musical styles to Telenova. I love how it turned out – listening to all the different interpretations sort of feels as if Tranquilize was re-written in parallel universes or planets, like how it could’ve turned out if the inspiration for the song hit a different group of musicians in an alternate reality. It’s been really rewarding experimenting and pushing the sonic world of Telenova with these collaborations.”
