Watch – friendships’ ‘The Roof’

Melbourne-based experimental electronic duo friendships have today premiered their video for ‘The Roof’ via Pilerats. The video is the first visual cut from their forthcoming debut album, Nullarbor 1988-1989, out 30 September.

‘The Roof’ is a stark reflection upon half of the group, Misha Grace’s fall from a New York City rooftop at CMJ last year. Together with other half Nick Brown, the experience gave way for ‘The Roof.’

‘The Roof’ is an enveloping piece of audio-visual work, building upon visceral monologue and brooding imagery, reaching Misha’s fall to almost-death at multi-sensory climax. It’s more than 7 minutes of a carefully constructed intensity that’s a sure indicator of what’s to come from their debut album.
