Emotive storyteller Jess Locke follows up the announcement of her forthcoming album with another new single in ‘The Place’. Locke’s fourth omnibus Real Life will be released on Friday, 3rd May through Dot Dash / Remote Control Records.
Unhurried in pace, ‘The Place’ is buoyed by acoustic guitars and a metronomic bass line, while Locke’s yearning vocals drive home the themes of adulthood and nostalgia. It follows her “punchy” (Rolling Stone) lead single ‘Uncomfortably Happy’ which was added to heavy rotation at KEXP, and received love from Double J, FBi Radio, Edge, SYN and more.
