Tahitian/Parisian 5-piece outfit QuinzeQuinze have shared their first single of 2023 ‘KODEK’. They’re making music like no one else, conjuring up epic soundscapes coated in Moombahton and club-ready jaunts of the underground that’s been lauded by Crack, Dazed, Pitchfork, Resident Advisor and NPR.
The group have been making music shaped by their Tahitian heritage (two of the groups five members are from the South Pacific Island in the French Polynesia) while also bringing together ancestral ōrero (Polynesian oratory art), utilising traditional percussive instruments such as to’ere and steel drums, as well as incorporating South American and Caribbean influences alongside their own futuristic electronic explorations.
