South Sudanese-Australian innovator Skin On Skin is back with ‘Someone Like You‘, his first release since 2025’s Home Is True mixtape and the final piece he completed for something very special arriving soon. The track has been road-tested to rapturous responses worldwide in his full-throttle DJ sets, most memorably when Skin On Skin closed the main stage at Dekmantel in Amsterdam, a city he considers his second home. From there, it travelled to standout shows including Glitch Music Festival, a special b2b with Kettama at Amnesia in Ibiza, and DJ Gigola in Chicago. Now ‘Someone Like You’ finally gets its official release via his own label, Stay On Sight Recordings alongside a Nick Astanei-directed video capturing the euphoric energy of the song.

The single follows Home Is True, a deeply personal mixtape about human connection, togetherness, and life in constant motion. Written, produced, and performed by Skin On Skin, the mixtape was lauded “musically vast and technically crisp” (Wonderland), moving effortlessly between bass-heavy club burners and introspective downtempo moments. It’s both a love letter to the cultures that shaped him and a statement of where he’s taking his musical sound next.

Bursting onto the global scene in 2022 with his undeniable club anthem ‘Burn Dem Bridges‘ (“it sounds like the future” – Resident Advisor), the music maverick has made his mark on the live circuit performing on the world’s biggest and best stages. From performing his biggest ever sold out headline in his hometown Sydney to taking in impromptu b2bs in London with Skrillex and in Ibiza with Kettama, a Madrid takeover with Fred again.., a massive night in Manchester at Overmono’s Warehouse Project, plus taking his Stay On Sight club night to ravers in New York, London and Dublin.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Skin On Skin is set to tour the UK and Europe over the coming months, then heads to Asia before returning to Australia and New Zealand to close out the year.
