The Lemon Twigs reveal the new video for ‘Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart’ from their new album Go To School. Shot on Long Island and directed by Michael D’Addario, who also stars in it, & Winston H. Case, the video was filmed inside a local Hicksville bar and tells the heartbreaking tale of one couple’s struggle. Watch below!
In discussing the video, Michael said, “Brian and I played in a whole lot of Long Island bars growing up, and man, we met a lot of people like this. Sometimes the Long Island mothers would gossip and you’d hear a sad story like this one, and somebody would end up with a tattoo that said ‘Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart.’ A weekend in Hicksville.”
The Lemon Twigs just wrapped a tour of the UK and Europe with the Arctic Monkeys and the first leg of their North American tour. In October, the band made their debut performance on Later…. With Jools Holland and in September they performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Go To School, released earlier this year tells the coming-of-age story of Shane, a pure of heart chimpanzee raised as a human boy. Todd Rundgren and the D’Addarios’ mother Susan Hall play Shane’s parents. The album also features contributions from Jody Stephens and their father Ronnie D’Addario.
