Remote Control and Boss Battle Records are pleased to announce the release of two video game soundtracks – Wargroove: Double Trouble by Phonetic Hero and Kunai by PONGBALL. The soundtracks are now available for streaming and purchase on all digital services.
Wargroove: Double Trouble features add-on downloadable content for the critically acclaimed, turn-based strategy game Wargroove. Wargroove: Double Trouble adds a brand new co-op enabled campaign story which introduces several new characters.
After an unexpected kidnapping and some severe ransom demands, your group of rogues have no choice but to perform the biggest heist that Aurania has ever seen – plundering riches from the Imperial Palace of Heavensong, Stone Mountain Fort of Felheim, the Celandine Vault of Cherrystone and the Floran’s Iron Roots reserves. But do you have the chops to get the job done?
The soundtrack, recorded in Phonetic Hero’s home studio in Baltimore, is primarily orchestral and folk, covering four distinct sonic aesthetics to reflect four warring factions. The original Wargroove soundtrack released via Boss Battle Records / Remote Control in February 2019 sold over 5000 copies across digital platforms.
KUNAI is the debut Switch and PC release from developers TurtleBlaze (makers of Road Warriors) and is described as a Ninja metroidvania.
A traumatic event has shaken the balance of the world. Human life has been mostly wiped out. Robots roam free across the earth. Take control of Tabby, a killer robot infused with the soul of an ancient warrior, and find out its true purpose in this world.
The soundtrack is by Vancouver’s Shannon Mason (AKA Pongball), a specialist in 8bit and 16bit Super Nintendo-era music. Her ability to create immersive soundtracks using retro sounds is second to none and is steadily becoming one to watch in the video game music industry.
