Experimental audiovisual duo friendships have released an incredible video and single for ‘meat sack‘. The track comes from their highlight anticipated new album FISHTANK will be released September 30 via Dot Dash Recordings. The record will be released physically on USB via Anterograde.
Of ‘meat sack’ Nic Brown describes the track “meat sack is hindsight with impaired vision. Revisiting distorted scenes and centring yourself as every archetype: the heroine, the villain, the jester, the antagonists. Using the collective feeling of anguish, uncertainty, guilt, sorrow and shame as sandpaper to strip your body of self. Exposing a bloody, decaying carcass. A big ol meat sack hanging like a sausage in the butchers shop. “How much for the snaggers today Dennis?” “I’ll throw them in for free Deb, make sure you cook ’em tonight. They will be spoiled by tomorrow.”
NME Australia have already included FISHTANK as one of their top Australian releases of this month saying “FISHTANK’ is an ambitious exploration of embodied identity, self and rebirth; its individual elements respond to and wrap around each other, ultimately coalescing in this genuinely experimental project.”
