Following the release of their long-awaited sophomore album DJ Set in September, Mouseatouille share three reimagined versions of tracks taken from the record, from artists Katie Dey (AU), Tex Patrello (USA) and Weatherday (SE). Mouseatouille also share the official music video for lead single ‘Harry and the Jets’,  directed by Liam Barton and filmed in Chicago with friends of the band, out now!

Speaking on the creation of the music video, Harry shares, “We love Liam’s work and think that his video perfectly captures the themes of young love and friendship that underpin the song’s narrative. Fergus wrote ‘Harry and the Jets’ shortly after a trip to New York City where he first met Liam. It felt appropriate that the video was filmed there and that Liam directed it.”

Last month, Mouseatouille set out on their debut headline east-coast tour of Australia, playing shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane. Next week they take on the Supernatural Amphitheatre of Meredith Music Festival, a dream gig with a stage build to fit the many faces of Mouseatouille. Catch them live and free at Punters Club, Fitzroy on Thursday 4th December before they hit the road to Meredith.

About the remixes:
‘Dogshow (Katie Dey Remix)’
Katie Dey (she/her) is a Melbourne based experimental pop musician. Dey has toured with Ethel Cain, co-produced Georgia Maq’s solo album Pleaser and remixed Perfume Genius, Hand Habits, Tomberlin and Montaigne & David Byrne. Katie supported Mouseatouille at the Lithuanian Club in their Melbourne leg of the DJ Set tour.

Speaking on the collaboration, Katie shares; “Mousatouille are extremely sweet and welcoming individuals. I’m really grateful for their friendship, and that I can consider them peers in a pretty sparse Melbourne music scene. They have always offered to play music with me, offered to add me to show lineups, and when I recently asked them if they wanted to spontaneously learn a Coldplay song for a gig with me they eagerly obliged, practicing dilligently just hours before the show. I’m really happy I was asked to remix their beautiful song Dogshow from their amazing new album. I love the layers of vocals and gorgeous harmonies and I wanted to play around with how to weave them in and out from each other in a trance-inducing fashion, trying to highlight each member’s strengths and amplify what I love about each of their parts. Long live Mousea tuah!!”

‘My Love (Tex Patrello Remix)’
Tex Patrello (she/her) is a Dallas based experimental pop musician who released a fantastic album called Minotaur in 2024. Speaking on the connection between Tex and Mouseatouille, Harry Green shares; “I became aware of her because like us, she was part of the Through the Soil compilation.”

‘Today Will Be the Greatest Day of Our Lives (Weatherday Remix)’
Weatherday (they/them) is a Swedish based emo musician who released the highly acclaimed, lo-fi album Come In in 2019. Weatherday also released their new album Hornet Disaster earlier this year and was also part of the Through the Soil compilation.
