Australian songwriter Julia Jacklin releases her highly anticipated new studio album The Gem, out now. Earlier this week, Jacklin shared one final single ‘If I Had The Hand Of God’, following a global First Play on triple j Drive. Written about a surreal trip to Nashville, the song is a meditation on the life of a touring musician and the importance (or unimportance) of legacy. Watch the accompanying video here.

The Gem was produced by Jacklin and Robert Muinos and recorded entirely in Melbourne. The 10-track album will be released digitally and on CD, cassette and vinyl on 25 September worldwide. Exclusive colour vinyl editions with retailers will include Turquoise, Green Opal, Ruby, and Rose Quartz.

To celebrate the release of The Gem, Julia Jacklin returns to the place that gave the record its name for three very special, sold-out, intimate shows this weekend. Joined by her band – Jacob Diamond, Jennifer Aslett, Jess Ellwood and Rob Muinos – each event will feature two sets: one of covers, followed by a set of originals.
