Cults have released a new single and video ‘Monolithic‘ off their fourth studio album Host out September 18 via Sinderlyn. ‘Monolithic’, that Stereogum describes as “Cults’ classic earworm melodies with the band’s new cinematic scope” now gets cinematic video treatment. The video is centered around a larger stone monolithic that is allowing Cults (and those who also enter “The Strong Magnetic Field”) to move through space and time.
Director Will McDowell describes the video “We went literal and took inspiration from the sacred rocks around the world, running with the idea that with enough intention, and a strong magnetic field, you can time travel wherever you want to.”
