Obscura Hail Zero EP out now!

A pleasure to announce the release of the brand new EP from Obscura HailZero. It’s out now everywhere through Dot Dash Recordings. Catch em live at the dates below.

Born on NSW’s South Coast, and now buried alive somewhere in Melbourne, Obscura Hail (Sean Conran, Tamara Issa & Steven West) are sneaking into intimate spaces and filling strangers with relative truths. Themes of ontology, existentialism, love and loss are somewhat serious… but they’re framed with sincerity by the lush, gentle classical guitar work, and the motif of almost whispered, though richly layered vocal harmonies.

The EP reflects the hands of Sun Kil Moon, the heart of Sufjan Stevens and the method of Elliot Smith. Dealing with themes of memory loss and death through anecdotal nostalgia.

The live show is intricate and intriguing, think stunning vocal harmonies, beautiful projections, atmospheric loops and subtle use of live and electronic percussion all performed by a three-piece.

Recently performing alongside Kele Okereke (Bloc Party), Aldous Harding, Julia Jacklin and Cam Avery (Tame Impala, Pond), and appearing at By The Meadow Festival and Changes Festival, Obscura Hail will tour in celebration of the Zero this November/December
