Perfume Genius (Mike Hadreas) releases Glory (Extended), an expanded version of his critically acclaimed, GRAMMY nominated album Glory. The LP features four new tracks including ‘Undercurrent (Clean Heart)’ which Flood Magazine said “harkens back to Mike Hadreas’ earliest piano-only chamber-pop recordings, forgoing the art-rock experimentation heard on the album version of the track.”

With the release, Hadreas shares the focus track ‘Jamie,’ and says, “I remember playing “Jamie” for someone after I recorded it and they thought it was insane. I think it’s really soothing. I thought it was cool that they heard it as kind of manic but I felt the complete opposite. You can hear my dog Wanda running around too. I did feel like I was channeling something when I made it that was a one time thing, like a visitor. All the recordings on this expanded version are generally built in one or two days. I’ve always written that way. I’ll spend weeks on the lyrics if they don’t come together right away and finish a lot of the words in the studio, but I write the music by recording at home and if I try to hold on to songs too hard they leave.”

Perfume Genius released Glory in 2025, re-teaming with long-time producer Blake Mills and keyboardist and co-writer Alan Wyffels.  The LP explores recurring themes that have shaped his artistic journey – examining the body and its decay, of domesticity and love, and of inescapable history and damage. The album and its singles landed on numerous “best-of 2025 lists” including NPR, The New York Times, and Pitchfork.
