Good Boy have shared their self-produced video for ‘1972 VW Superbug’. The track is the third single from their brilliant EP Shirk Life, out now. Watch it below!
The song is a nostalgic sprawler, exploring regional life via bored late-nights in their hometown of Bundaberg, Queensland. Rarely does a punk band write with such romanticism.
“We made this video from footage collected every time we returned to our home town of Bundaberg, Queensland over the past two years” said drummer Stu McKenzie (who also filmed and edited the clip). “Not much has changed in the six years since we moved. When we go back, the memories that the song (1972 VW Superbug) talks about are conjured all over again.”
The band are on tour right now. They played a handful of shows in WA last week and hit Melbourne this Thursday the 14th of Dec. Catch them on the dates below!
