Jim Lawrie has shared shared a new video for ‘Lost on Earth’, taken from his new album Slacker of the Year. Teamed up with filmmaker James Ruse to create the clip, ‘Lost on Earth’ captures the magic of unearthing something new and exciting in someone else. Watch it below!
As Jim explains; “The majority of this planet is accounted for by Google maps. This song is about the fact that, even when every single inch of this earth is discovered, known, and documented, there will still be parts within each of us that can be explored. It is a quest to find that one place within another person that is undiscovered, that consumes and becomes your world to get lost in.”
Recorded and mixed by Callum John Barter at Newmarket Studios, Slacker of the Year is a culmination of years of creative introspection; his own gloriously crafted interpretation of classic rock and folk.
Jim will be launching Slacker of the Year in Melbourne on Friday and Sydney in October. Details below.
