Mess Esque share single & video ‘Jupiter’

Mess Esque, the newly minted duo of Mick Turner and Helen Franzmann, have been mixing up the medicine for their second single ‘Jupiter‘, taken from their forthcoming self-titled album out Friday 22 October via Milk! Records / Remote Control Records. For a new band it really helps to have a hit single, so this new radio friendly unit shifter remixes one album cut, reshaping it into a smoldering, cascading indie ballad!

Mick and Helen say about ‘Jupiter’: “The melody and words came very quickly for this, recorded into my phone as soon as I heard the guitar track while walking along the creek. There is a reference to an E.E. Cummings’ poem which was lying on the floor in my room. Also had a postcard of the painting ‘Monk by the Sea’ by Caspar David Friedrich tacked to the wall in front of me. This one took the longest to finish, we ended up with many versions.”
